Winter Neutrals

Sweater: Banana Republic // Scarf: American Eagle // Jeans: Current Elliot // Booties: Nordstrom // Beanie: Primark // Sunglasses: LOFT

So long sweet winter..March is right around the corner, literally. I can't wait for the spring and summer. I can't wait to garden, flower weddings, and hopefully get a damn tan. I am legit so pale its scary! I am hoping Kev and I catch a break and run away to Florida for a weekend, but I won't hold my breath, but hey i'll keep my hopes alive. We could both really use some down time.

I am obsessed with these jeans I got in NYC. They are Current Elliot and they were $10 a piece....what!?!?! I know! My sweater was only $20 from banana republic. I am all about neutrals right now, especially in the winter, I know most people go to black but this winter was about neutrals for me! I think this color palette will continue into spring and summer too.

I know I will be shedding layers this spring and summer so I need to get my but back in gear in the gym. Being so busy that was the first thing to drop off the to do list, but that's super dangerous, not only for my bikini bod but for my mental health. Working out is a must..so keep an eye out for more workout inspo from me!  =)

Love You Now

Sweatshirt & Plaid Shirt: Old Navy // Jeans: Gap // Booties: Sam Edelman // Crossbody: Michael Kors

I have worn this outfit twice now..its perfectly fall and perfect for these cooler temperatures. I sometimes feel uncomfortable in multiple layers but they always look so cute together it is hard to pass up. I have now found that if I size up on the top layer is much more comfortable, maybe it's not a flattering but at the end of the day I choose comfort. Especially when it comes to my day to day. Sorry not sorry.

I hope you are all getting around to checking items off your fall to do list. I have recently found a new love for thrifting. Mostly for my flower business, I find some really awesome vases and stuff to use for my brides and their weddings. I frequent places like Savers (my new go to), but then I also have been hitting local and non local flea markets, it is amazing what you can find! I recently went to Todd's Farm in Rowley MA It was awesome!, I highly recommend it. I could have filled my husbands truck...oh wait I did! I got an awesome $9 wing back chair I plan on reupholstering, I will be sure to share my how-to when I get around to it, hopefully this winter! I think I am going back this weekend or I may try another one I was told about in Worcester, I will write up a post on it for you all if you are interested! I promised my blog would follow my life and what I am into, so I hope you will still be willing to come along for the ride.

Spring Pastels

Denim & Clutch: Dorthy Perkins c/o // Top: Old Navy // Heels: Target // Necklace: Loft // Sunnies: Kate Spade (similar) // Lips: NARS //  Nails: Essie Polish

Whether this weather cooperates with us or not here in New England, I will be dressing for spring. I am loving this combo, pinks and purples. I am really loving paring shades of colors this season, it makes for a very multidimensional look! Nothing is better than a crisp new pear of white jeggings (on sale for $27) and the perfect envelope clutch (this one is on sale for $15). You have seen this clutch a few times before already, that is how much I am loving it! If you don't all ready know from past posts, I am loving everything from Dorthy Perkins, their prices are always so right and the new arrivals are even better.  I found these heels on sale at target, how amazing are they! I am obsessed with the color and plan on wearing them all spring and summer long. I have already been thinking of everything I can wear them with.

Polka Dot Swing Skirt

Shirt: Shabby Apple c/o // Top: Nic & Zoe (similar) c/o // Heels: Steve Madden // Clutch: Dorthy Perkins c/o // Necklace: LOFT // Sunglasses: Kate Spade

So Kev and I caught Hairspray on TV last week, only my favorite move ever, one that I never thought he would agree to watch but to my surprise he was as into the move as I was. We both came to the consensus that we should have been born in the 50's/60's. We are both such old souls and would have fit in so well back then. I don't think we would have ended up married, because I would would have most likely ended up in jail for fighting some equal rights something or other, be in women's rights or anything else happening at the time. He on the other hand would probably still be in the same path, army to police so not much would have changed for him! HA!

I also LOVE the fashion of the 50's & 60's they were my favorite era to study in school. I mean what kid didn't love Grease and want so desperately to be Sandy. Anyways, I wore this skirt yesterday for Easter and my grandmother mention she can't believe these skirts, back then called swing skirts (love the name) are back in style. To be totally honest I love them, I think they are so classy and just love the way they make women look, and the way they make me feel.

While watching Hairspray I noticed the girls were dressed very modestly, with the high necklines and long mini skirts or dresses similar to the ones coming back right now. Those necklines paired with these skirts, are in my opinion, more sexy and flattering than 99% of the mini skirts and tank tops I am used to seeing out and about in Boston...(just saying).  Maybe that's just my old soul talking, or my grandma ways, but it is oh so true. This skirt is from Shabby Apple, and if you are in the market for pieces like this they have tons of other vintage inspired pieces that fit right into what I am talking about.

Off The Shoulder Sweater

Sweater: Boohoo / Jeans: H&M / Shirt: LOFT / Shoes: Ann Taylor / Sunnies: c/o Karen Walker via Ditto / Necklace & Earrings: Rocks Box / Bracelets: Le Tote, Alex & Ani, JCrew / Clutch: Cole Haan

Seriously is there anything better than a comfy off the shoulder sweater? I live for them. There are so many things I love about them the way they photograph, how comfy they are, how comfy they look, and the way they show just a little shoulder, but not too much. I have never met an off the shoulder sweater I didn't like. The thing I love about this one is that you can also wear is a a really large boat neck sweater too. I love it so much I bought it in a few colors.

Side note -- these jewels tho... I am obsessing over this necklace from Rocks Box, which is much like Le Tote, where you can get jewelry, keep it for as long as you want and then return it for new items. It is a great way to try trends, or get super statement pieces and then try something new for your next fab event or look. Also, cancel any time, which is always a plus! Also it is only $19 a month, so skip two venti coffee's a month and get tons of awesome jewels!

Tuesday Track Pants // With Ann Taylor Legacy Place

Blouse // Track Pants // Scarf // Tote // Booties -- c/o Ann Taylor

My second look of the week with Ann Taylor Legacy Place is by far the most comfortable. I hope this whole sweatpant/track pant trend never ends, I mean who doesn't want to wear sweatpants all the time, in addition wearing sweatpants and heels -- heck yes! These track pants from Ann Taylor are perfect, and the even better thing about Ann Taylor is that they have petites -- even in these track pants, which a lot of brands that carry petites they don't carry the whole line. Lucky us! I am also digging the whole monochromatic look with shades of one color for fall -- keep your eye out for more of that to come on the blog. I am also going to talk about these booties and this tote again, because they are just both such amazing closet staples, they are both seriously MUST HAVES.

P.S. -- I have been wearing my hair behind my ear lately via Julia of Gal Meets Glam (she is my fav) -- I am kind of digging it. What do you think? I never thought I could pull it off -- but like I said yesterday you never know until you try!
