Winter Neutrals

Sweater: Banana Republic // Scarf: American Eagle // Jeans: Current Elliot // Booties: Nordstrom // Beanie: Primark // Sunglasses: LOFT

So long sweet winter..March is right around the corner, literally. I can't wait for the spring and summer. I can't wait to garden, flower weddings, and hopefully get a damn tan. I am legit so pale its scary! I am hoping Kev and I catch a break and run away to Florida for a weekend, but I won't hold my breath, but hey i'll keep my hopes alive. We could both really use some down time.

I am obsessed with these jeans I got in NYC. They are Current Elliot and they were $10 a piece....what!?!?! I know! My sweater was only $20 from banana republic. I am all about neutrals right now, especially in the winter, I know most people go to black but this winter was about neutrals for me! I think this color palette will continue into spring and summer too.

I know I will be shedding layers this spring and summer so I need to get my but back in gear in the gym. Being so busy that was the first thing to drop off the to do list, but that's super dangerous, not only for my bikini bod but for my mental health. Working out is a must..so keep an eye out for more workout inspo from me!  =)

How To: Layered Long Sweater

Long Cardi: Banana Republic (similar) // LS Tee: TJ Maxx (similar less than $20) // Scarf: Primark (similar on sale) // Jeans: Primark (similar on sale) // Heels: Nordstrom // Sunglasses: Forever 21

Well it is officially freezing here in Mass, which calls many many layers and our new mantle with a faux fireplace to be on 24/7. I would say yesterday was the first day when walking the dog I began to run because it was too dang cold, I think even he wanted to run home! Yesterday also marked my 27th birthday. I managed to get through it with out too much fuss. 27...one more year closer to 30,  not that I think 30 is old, there is just so much that I want to get done before 30 rolls around. I guess the best thing to do is just keep your head down and keep trudging through the mud.

I'm not going to say much about to look because its pretty straight forward, but I will give you all a tip I learned through being an observant blogger. I used to just put a cardigan on and that was that, but now I really think about what I am going to wear under it. I typically would never wear a long sleeve under it, mainly because I felt suffocated, or well though I did. I noticed some of my fav bloggers, Blair from Atlantic Pacific mainly, wearing long sleeves under their cardis  or jackets etc and I love the way the multiple layers looks. The little pop of color of whatever you are wearing. In my opinion it makes the outfit look extra finished. Try it next time, and if you already do this...well then you go glen coco.

Floral & Tulle Skirt

Skirt: Shabby Apple c/o // Top: Nordstrom (similar $8) // Heels: Zara (similar) // Sunnies: Marc Jacobs via Sunglasses Shop c/o

TGIF my friends! I mean my week went pretty fast because I was in Philly until Wednesday so I can't complain but who isn't ready for the weekend everyday! I hope your weekend is full of relaxing, running and tons of adventures to all of the local farmers markets that are opening this weekend. If you are interested in getting to one in mass head over to this website to check out all of the farmers markets in your area!

This skirt tho...I mean I don't need to say it again I am obsessed with Shabby Apple, they are my official go to for midi skirts and well anything vintage inspired and amazing to be honest. You have seen two other skirts that I have worn from them here and here. The quality and selection on their website is out of this world. I was so pleasantly surprised with this skirt, I am wearing a size 2, I usually wear a 25 in jeans and between a 0/2 in other dresses and skirts so the sizing is very true to size. I have been wanting a tulle skirt for like ever, but I love that this one is different than the ones every other blogger is wearing, I love that this one is is floral and tulle its the best of both worlds and it is all of this seasons trends wrapped up into one amazing skirt. As "statement" as this skirt is, it is also totally wearable I can see my self wearing this many times, with  tons of different colors and different tops. If you added a button down silky top, or a sweater you get a totally different look with the same skirt and can bring it through all the seasons.

Casual Gold Sequin Leggings

Leggings: Nordstrom / Sweater: Boohoo / Top: Ann Taylor Loft / Heels: Ann Taylor / Bag: Michael Kors / Necklace: JCrew (old) / Sunnies: Ray Ban

So remember when I wasn't sure how many times I would wear these sequin leggings. Yea well I changed my mind, and I need more colors, like every color in the rainbow. I am obsessed with these leggings, they are surprisingly comfortable and easy to wear. It was super easy to make them look over the top and amazing, but I was also surprised how easy it was to pull together a casual look. I honestly think I can get a lot of wear out of them. I recently tried on a pair from H&M, that look similar but are a dark silver color and where a little less expensive, but these take the cake for sure, so much more stretch, and so much more comfortable. I really am so so happy I pulled the trigger and bought these. If you do not have a pair of sequin leggings, have been wanting a pair, or if you have been looking you need to buy hurry up and buy these before they go out of stock, they are the best quality pair you will find the for best price. I mean you know how Nordstrom rolls, they would never give you anything less.

Ready For The Holidays

Coat: Forever 21 / Top: Old Navy / Pants: Lucy Paris via Nordstrom (wearing size S) / Earrings; Stella & Dot / Sunglasses: Ray Ban / Shoes: Ann Taylor / Purse: Old / Lips: Revlon

OK so I totally used Emily Gemma the blogger behind one of my favorite blogs The Sweetest Thing as my inspiration for this outfit. I have been looking for gold sequin pants/leggings like this for ages since I saw them on pinterest and on a few fav bloggers a while back. I wanted them, but at a good price, mainly because I knew the amount of times I could actually wear them. Lets be honest though, if it was socially acceptable, it would be every day, but I think people would start to judge.

These sequin leggings are perfect for any holiday event or even New Years event for that matter. I love Emily's advice that you can never find your holiday outfits too soon, you do not need to stress over finding the perfect outfit, when you are already stressing over whether or not you got all the gifts you need!  I love these sequin leggings paired with the white top from Old Navy and just basic nude pumps. I also love the over the top feeling of this jacket, not to mention it is a great price, it is a great "accessory" that you wear for your entrance, take off enjoy your event and then pop it on again for your exit. It also comes in white, its so fab really! I am in love with this look, I plan on wearing these pants all the time.

A Plaid Shirt Dress

Dress: Windsor Store c/o  / Hat: Nordstrom / Boots: Jasmine Sola (OLD!) / Socks: Forever 21 / Clutch: Free People / Rings: The Love Knot Shop

This plaid dress is amazing, for so so many reasons, I love that you can dress it up with some boots and knee highs, but I also love that you can wear it with slippers around the house. The material is so warm and cozy and the cut is just right, not too big that you look like you are wearing a huge box, but not too small that you are pulling at it to make sure no one gets a show! I plan on living in this dress this fall and into winter, there are so many ways to wear it, I plan on next adding an over sized scarf and tan boots and wear it to work.
