Winter Neutrals

Sweater: Banana Republic // Scarf: American Eagle // Jeans: Current Elliot // Booties: Nordstrom // Beanie: Primark // Sunglasses: LOFT

So long sweet winter..March is right around the corner, literally. I can't wait for the spring and summer. I can't wait to garden, flower weddings, and hopefully get a damn tan. I am legit so pale its scary! I am hoping Kev and I catch a break and run away to Florida for a weekend, but I won't hold my breath, but hey i'll keep my hopes alive. We could both really use some down time.

I am obsessed with these jeans I got in NYC. They are Current Elliot and they were $10 a piece....what!?!?! I know! My sweater was only $20 from banana republic. I am all about neutrals right now, especially in the winter, I know most people go to black but this winter was about neutrals for me! I think this color palette will continue into spring and summer too.

I know I will be shedding layers this spring and summer so I need to get my but back in gear in the gym. Being so busy that was the first thing to drop off the to do list, but that's super dangerous, not only for my bikini bod but for my mental health. Working out is a must..so keep an eye out for more workout inspo from me!  =)

Weekend Uniform

Sweatshirt: Primark // Jeans: American Eagle // Mug: Starbucks

Our weekend ended up being a lot different than I thought it would be.  Kev was supposed to work so I use the weekends he works to get a ton of stuff done, errands, flower stuff, cooking, etc. Instead we ended up at the Dentist on Saturday morning and then he got the weekend off due to his jaw pain! ugh, always something but it was really nice to have a weekend together with nothing to do. Of course I had a To Do list a mile long, but I put it off to take some time to just relax.. My niece, brother & sister in law came to stay over on Saturday which was super nice we don't often have visitors! I love having people at the house but we live far from family & friends right now it's not super simple for them to just stop by. Maybe some day!

I decided to take some time and catch up on blogging and other stuff around the house like the 15 piles of laundry..its done and folded..just not put away! I am running out of space and think its time for a spring clean out! SO keep an eye out all week for some new content, I will be saying goodbye to winter! (hopefully!)

p.s. I gave up coffee for a few weeks...it didn't last...oops.

Olive & Beige

Joggers: Zara (similar) // Top: American Eagle // Heels: Steve Madden via TJ  Maxx // Crossbody: Michael Kors // Scarf: H&M (similar) // Sunglasses: LOFT

So you have seen these joggers before if you have been following along with me, if you have not been following along or are new, here they are again. Now they are transitioned to fall. I paired them with a similarly just with warmer options. I actually wore these again on Tuesday of this week, with the maroon heels I wore in Monday's post, and a nude trench since the weather has been quite drab. I wish I could find the person who made joggers / track pants trendy for women and give them a big hug because really we are so used to squeezing ourselves in tight jeans and clothes that the relief of joggers is literally like no other. These joggers are made of the most amazing silk like material so they can totally pass for being quite dressy, I could actually imagine wearing them if I had a job that required "business casual" dress. Zara is just soo good, but to be honest their prices still a little pricey for me (at least in the US), the quality it totally worth the price but for me personally I don't wear stuff enough to pay top dollar for it, unless it is a clear staple that I know I will get enough wear out of.

I have been on the hunt for a great pair of nude heels and finally came across these Steve Madden pumps at, where-else, TJ Maxx and am SO happy they were still there when I went back. I did the "right" thing, left without buying them and said if I am still thinking about them tomorrow I will go back if the heels are still there then they are mine if not then I will find another pair that I love more. Go me! #selfcontrol #iwish

Plaid Scarf

Scarf: Primark Boston // Top: American Eagle // Jeans: Boohoo $44 c/o // Bag: Michael Kors // Booties: T J Maxx

So if you live in the Boston area I have some AMAZING news! Primark opened in Downtown Crossing! WEE! If you don't know what Primark is, think Forever 21, H&M and Zara mixed into one. They are mostly in Europe and I went to my first one a few years back when I was in London and fell in love. When I heard one was opening so close to my office I immediately had to go. A few days after the rush of  the grand opening we took a long "lunch" and shopped until we dropped, literally. This oh so familiar scarf was $7....yes $7, they have TONS of other colors and patterns too, I am pretty sure I bought like four of them. In my opinion the quality of Primark is much more like Zara, but the prices are much more like Forever 21, but probably less! I can't wait to post some of the awesome outfits I got. I got two huge bags and some really cute baby stuff for my niece and I spent under $175!! I am planning to go back again and do some more damage but I am going to wait a few weeks for the store to turn over to all new stuff. I went back quickly one day last week and they had almost already turned over all of the inventory. The Boston store is 4 floors, men's, women's, kids, home shoes, literally everything you could ever imagine.

Here are my top three tips for shopping this very large and overwhelming store:

1. Try EVERYTHING on -- Since you are paying less each piece, even each color of the same piece fits differently, so I highly recommend trying everything on. There fitting room system is nothing like Forever 21, it is very organized and large and bright. They were working like a well oiled machine when I was there which was very impressive.

2. Try to go at OFF PEAK hours -- The store is still very new and it is always packed, so try to go at a time where there wont be mobs of people or you will get annoyed and discouraged. I went at lunch time during the week and it was OK, it would be even better to go in the morning on like a Wednesday, if I didn't have a job ;)

3. Wear something COMFORTABLE - like I said this place is 4 floors so wear comfortable shoes and clothes and be prepared to search and really shop, not just pop in and expect to find everything!

I hope you have a Primark in your area, or if you live around you have a chance to shop the Downtown Crossing location!

Easy Grey Crop

Button Down: American Eagle // Shorts: American Eagle // Top: Necessary Clothing c/o // Sunnies: Vintage // Watch: Michael Kors

Easy weekend wear is my all time favorite. This look is very typical to what you would see me in on the weekend, this or workout wear. These shorts from American Eagle have been my go to since last year and this new crop top from Necessary clothing is the perfect summer staple. I added a button down as an extra layer seeing as you never know when you get a little chilly in this weather. I also did not even realize I has that nasty bruise until I was looking through these photos! UGH, I swear I don't even know where they come from, I always have bruised up legs for some reason, maybe I just bump into stuff and don't realize? Who knows? Also note to self, when you pierce your belly button don't expect the hole to close..ever...like ever ever.

This weekend I spent relaxing, talking the dog to the park and making delicious dinners outside on the grill. I relaxed to the max, so much that I actually took a nap on Saturday afternoon, like a real nap, after I spent an hour sitting outside in the sun with the dog. It does not really get much better than that...the one thing better would be doing it all again tomorrow, and every day for the rest of the week.
