I recently came across this article in Business Insider, about the 50 Brands that young women love the most. When you keep reading you will realize by brands they really mean Brands, not just clothing, its everything. Goldman Sachs and Teen Vogue joined forces to poll over 1,200 Teen Vogue 'It Girls' on somewhere around 350 brands, based on awareness, favorability and word of mouth. Which is an important part of the social media world we live in today, brands make it or break it when it comes to social media.
"Millennials — those born between 1980 and 2000 — will therefore be more "discriminating shoppers," and brands will have to compete more heavily in terms of product and messaging"
One thing I do think is how mind blowing it is the amount of much buying power our 'Millennials' generation has, the fact that our generation will compare and contrast, and shop until we find the right item, not just because of the label on the tag, that fact alone makes us that much more powerful, and I do think most brands need to recognize that. As a generation we are changing the ways of the world, brands used to be able to do whatever they wanted, and people would buy because of the name on the tag, now us girls, and guys, will shop around, educate ourselves, and go online and weigh the pro's and con's of what we are getting, and what other brands that are sell the same exact thing for less have to offer. The article also threw in the fact that we have less money than the baby boomer generation, and are more likely to use credit cards...uhhh so true...hashtag guilty.
While I am not overly surprised at the results below and I probably could have rattled off a handful of these, maybe not in the correct order, but close enough. Not to mention a lot of my personal favorites are on here as well. Take a peek; do you agree?
Top 50 Brands:

I spent part of my weekend this weekend in Connecticut, my husband, (eek!) had to work all weekend, so I went home to CT to play in my high school alumni field hockey game, man it has been a long time since I was in high school, anyways...after I did some shopping with my mom. She picked up a new purse from Michael Kors, that she has been wanting for a long time. We also picked up some new beauty products.I have been quite out of the loop with my wedding blinders on, so now I have a lot of catching up to do. All these items I have been eyeing for a while, especially now that I have had some time on my hands to watch some of my favorite youtube gurus and catch up on some of my favorite blogs.
These are the items I brought home with me, A new Beauty Blender, aka the life changer, I have heard this little piece of foam will change your make up life, I have tried a knock off version, not so good, so hopefully this little lovely does it for me. Essie nail polish in, Ballet Slippers - Mac Concealer palate, in light - Mac Lipsick in Rebel - Lipliner in Nightmoth and Benefit Cosmetics - POREfressional Primer.
Benefit Cosmetics - The POREfessional primer, says it reduces the appearance of pores. I have tried a bunch a primers in the past, but none have really gotten me hooked. I have been hearing a lot about this benefit one, and figured I would give it a try, especially in the fall and winter months, I tend to wear heaver make up, or just makeup in general.
These two lip items were my most coveted, I can not wait to try an ombre lip with these.
Mac Rebel Lipsick with Nighmoth Lipliner. I have seen a few toutorials with these two colors and I am really loving the look they give, and the option you have. We will see how it goes.
I have a lot more catching up to do, but these make me feel a little better, I am not officaly back in the loop, now I just need to clean out all of my closets, and get my wardrobe back in order, I currently only have new items in white...hrmph

You all know how I feel about my candles. Seen here, here, here, and ummm here. Woopsies! Well with the wedding and all I had going on this summer I was slacking in the candle space, I had some leftovers that I burnt up during the summer, which ended up being a good thing, its a great feeling to burn up a candle! My large stash quickly diminished to close to nothing! I had received the cutest gift basket from one of my bridesmaids for my bachelorette party, and it included an Autumn bath and body works candle, clearly she knows me well. Luckily Columbus day was right around the corner and I knew there had to be a deal, so I headed to Bath and Body works, to pick up some more Autumn candles, because man they smelled amazing. I ended up with six candles, two autumn candles, and four other wonderful fall scents!
You know I couldn't leave the store with just one candle. They were two for $22, or $11 a peice, usually they are $20 each. The scents I picked up were, Leaves, an oldie but goodie, Sweater Weather, Harvest Gathering, and Flannel. I figured by the time I got through all of these, the flannel would be a good crossover fall to winter scent. I am loving the new gold tops they use with the white barn collection, I think all of the jars should go to that.
The only downfall of bath and body works candles is that they burn really quickly, but they are so pungent, it is worth it, the scents they have come out with lately are just too good to not buy. A little trick I use on these candles is cutting the wick down after each burn, I was told it makes the candle burn slower, I'm not sure how good it works, but it makes me feel better.
What are your favorite fall scents? I am always in the market for something new!

I had some free time on my hands this weekend, and I came across this super budget friendly face mask, for me it was FREE, seeing as I had every item already in my pantry. The mask itself was a total of four ingredients. Honey, Sugar, Lemon, and Coconut Oil (or Olive Oil)
1/2 cup Sugar
1 tbsp Honey
1 tbsp Coconut oil
Contains, Alpha Hydroxy Acid, which is great for exfoliation, it is also a natural estringent and tightens pores. Along with other perks that you most likely already know, Vitamin C, which helps to even out skin tones, and lighten dark spots.
Antibacterial properties, helps to keep skin hydrated (natural humectant), and a natural source of antioxidants.
The original recipe for this face scrub called for organic, raw, aka expensive honey,
but I just used the honey I had in my pantry, and it worked like a charm.
Natural exfoliant, which help remove dead skin cells
Pretty much the holy grail of skin and hair care, not to mention other health benefits. Extremely hydrating, antibacterial and anti-fungal, and smells amazing.
All you do is mix all ingredients together, with a spoon, adding additional pure white sugar, if you feel the sugar in the raw will be too tough on your face. massage onto your face in upward circular motions, you can also run this over your lips to get dry skin off, don't worry about getting it in your mouth, its pretty tasty. Then grab a magazine, do some cleaning, or dishes, you want to leave the mask on for 15-20min. Then gently rinse off with warm water. If you have leftovers you can use this mask on the back of your hands, elbows, knees or anywhere on your body. I put mine in a small Tupperware, so I just put the top on and saved it for later this week, I would do this mask 2-3 times a week. Why not, its cheap!
I thought this mask would be super sticky and make a mess, with the honey, but it wasn't at all. It made my skin smooth like a babies bum! I also like the idea of no chemicals, its all natural, so how bad could it be, sometimes masks with too much moisture make me break out, I don't have that feeling about this mask at all!
Take time to pamper yourself this week!

I am BACK, and hopefully soon, better than ever, I would love to say like Brittney, but I am planning on being way better than that, no offence. You can start to see my new layout, and you can see my instagram feed, I am hoping to launch more new intros and hopefully some bigger changes real soon.
I took quite a hiatus, as planning my wedding pretty much took over my entire life. Now, the wedding is over, it was perfect everything a girl dreams of & I am officially married, and even better a Mrs. (Picture to come soon, I promise)
With some free time on my hands now I can get back to blogging, the good thing is that I have more stuff to share than ever, over the past few months I have been doing so much, and have learned so much I can not wait to share. I also am expecting some changes to be happening in my life, so those will be great learning experiences we live through together. I hope you forgive me for taking a break, but I am back now, and can not wait to catch up, seeing as this is my favorite time of year, I have tons to say and do!

The number one concern for shedding for the wedding. Arms. Most of the time, the main body part visible on your wedding day is your arms (unless you are super sassy and go with a short dress, or one with a amazing slit, then you have more work to do!!). There are a lot of steps that go into getting rid of flabby arms, and they are not just at the gym. If you are anything like me you probably have a list of go-to exercises that you have used since you started to "workout". Some bicep curls, some over head presses, maybe even some tricep extensions. Up until this moment in time, I have been satisfied with my arms, and the tone of my arms. My body type is more on the muscular side naturally, so my arms have always had some muscle definition to them, even if the only thing I have been lifting is a remote. Now that I am planning for my wedding, and working towards becoming the Best Bride, I realized I need to step my game up.
Here are some easy steps:
Step one: Change your diet. Eat Clean, Get Lean. Your muscle tone is not going to get any better without a diet change. Studies lately have been incing towards the fact that diet is almost more important than the workouts themselves. I think we have all known this, but it is just more rewarding to get through us tough workout and feel like it is "OK" to eat that piece of cake. Cut out Sugar.
Step two: Make sure that your dress, and under garments are the Perfect fit, if they don't fit and pull in all the wrong places, all the hard work you have put into working out will be a waste!
Step three: Cadrio. Cadrio. Cardio. It will help "melt" off that fat.
**Women tend to store fat around three main areas, hips, thighs and upper arms. Add in the fact that women are afraid to get "bulky" and viola! Trouble Area. On a positive note, areas where your body deposits fat, your body will also give the fat up easier!
Step four: Spot Tone. Do specific workouts for specific muscles in your arm. Also, strengthening your back and chest will also help your arms (of course). For some my new favorites see below.
Tricep Cable Press-down
Overhead Cable Row Extension
EZ Bar Curl
Wide Grip Cable Curl
If you are either on a budget and can't afford the best personal trainer or need a little more hand holding you can go to Bodybuilding.com and get free workouts and workout plans. Jamie Eason is AMAZING! She has a 12 week training guide, with three phases of workouts and meal plans! Also all moves have how to videos, for the moves you have not heard of. Of course all workouts can be customized, but for someone on a budget (me) this is perfect! Click here to see the plan.

Anyways, we all know Celebs have amazing bodies, well that is because they have money to have amazing personal trainers, for thoes of us who just do not have room in our budgets to have a personal trainer NTC is honestly the next best thing. The first workout I did, I thought I was in pretty good shape, psh I started on beginer, and did a 30 minute work out, it kicked my a**. Like, seriously I was sweating and breathing heavy, not the pretty sweat, like the hard core dripping wet sweat.
Its amazing I know, but I am about to blow your mind with how grreat this app is.
I don't know how to do the workouts that it tells you do, like what the heck is a Crazy Ivan?
- Well there is a video that plays for each move, that will give you a step by step on how to do each and every move in the workout
I can't workout with out my music, not some weirdo dance party music set to most workout apps
- You can set any play list any music from your phone to your workout.
I am going to get bored of the same workouts over and over again
- There are 85 custom workouts at all different levels, and in additon the more you work out the more rewards you gain, and the more bouns workouts you recieve
Bottom line, give it a shot, be prepared to work your a** off,
and fall in love with a very budget friendly new workout partner.

Remember when I was talking about doing a cleanse, like a day ago, well, I just came across The Ripe Stuff and they are located in Boston, and they will deliver to my office. Score! I actually read in a testimonial that The Ripe Stuff Cleanse is easier to stomach than the BPC, umm hello sign a sister up! Deffinetly check them out if you are in the Boston area.
There are also many different cleanses available and you drink 6 juices a day
The Corporate Cleanse
The Cocktail Cleanse
A New Leaf
Also you can Buy the juice A La Carte
The Corporate Cleanse seems to be up my ally, the juices are called:
10 O-clock Meeting
Mid Day Hump
Late Night TV
The Ripe Stuff is a bit cheaper, and so much more convient that they are located in Boston.
They also deliver 3 days at a time, you can do
1 Day Cleanse $60
3 Day Cleanse $170 ($15 cheaper than BPC)
You can continue to work out while on the Cleanse, you do need to prep your body for the cleanse a few days before, only to make the cleanse easier on yourself.
I am planning ordering a Cleanse from The Ripe Stuff with a Co-worker of mine, when I have the extra cash, but it is for sure something I plan on doing in the next year to help my super bride/healthy new habit forming self. I promise to keep you updated on how the girl who did not eat her veggies, does a cleanse.

I have been researching cleanses for about a month now, at first I poo-pooed them because I knew I wouldn't be able to drink anything gross or green. Then I started to see the Blue Print Cleanse everywhere, some of their juices are also sold in Whole Foods. I went on their website do to some research and see what all the hype is about, and now that I am trying to become the best version of my self, I figured I would maybe think about trying a juice cleanse.
Does this Image look familiar?!
You drink 6 juices a day an nothing else.
There are three different levels of the cleanse
I would be at level 1 for beginners : The Renovation
You have to have the Juice delivered to you from NYC or you have to pick it up, and you can only have three days of cleanse delivered at a time, in order to keep the juice fresh.
For a 3 day cleanse it is $195 (+shipping for non NYC or LA natives)
They say you can do 1 day or 36 days.
They do have something called BluePrintBride that is ohh so tempting.
I'll do anything that says for brides at this point!
Cleanses are NOT cheap, considering I have very very tight budget these days, I did not want to make an investment into something that I would no actually do, I want to get my moneys worth here, so I decided to really hunker down and do some more research. I am going to be trying a cleanse ASAP, so keep your eye out for how the girl who doesn't eat her veggies, cleanses.
Have any of you tried other Companies? Let me know!?

Hope you all had an amazing Holiday and New Years.
I keep wanting to write about my " New Years Resolutions" so that they are written down somewhere, but then I know I will make a laundry list of goals, and things I want to do and achieve this year, and womp womp, I will get to busy and 2014 will come and I will have gotten maybe one thing on the list accomplished, I mean hey one is better than none. Instead this year, I am just going to change my habits because really that is what needs to happen, making a "resolution" is nothing without it actually becoming part of my every day routine. On a side note, no matter what I do this year it is going to be my best year yet, because I am GETTING MARRIED!
With that said, obviously when getting married every bride wants to look their best and will start "shedding for the wedding",I as a Bride-to-Be, plan on doing all of those things. Not because I want to get on the bride ban-wagon, but I quite like being a Bride, and I want to be my best, because you only do this bride this once right? (Well hopefully!)
So some of the habits I plan to change this year to be the best Bride include:
Making a fool proof way to: 1. not forget to take the vitamins 2. not to forget to take the vitamins
Not depriving myself, and making unreal goals of planning every single meal, just cutting out some of the extras, like that entire bag of chips, or the 1 cookie that turned into 7.
Get My Best Skin
Having a skin care routine - and sticking to it
I am going to start with these three, and when I turn them into habits, I will move onto other things, like not overspending, and keeping my monthly budget, adding money to savings (and keeping it there). Keep an eye out for posts to follow on how I plan to turn these goals/resolutions into habits.
